There are many summer attractions around Tyne and Wear that can be reached easily by bus. Here's our list of places to go and things to see for you and your family to explore. Most are served by a bus running every few minutes from our town and city centres, and in all cases there is a bus at least every 30 minutes during the day. We've divided the list into a Top Six for each district in Tyne and Wear, so you can find good ideas close to where you live. Remember, Tyne and Wear Under-16 Cards let child holders travel for just 40p single Monday to Friday every day throughout the summer - and pensioners and disabled passengers go free after 9.30am and all day weekend.
