A new website has been launched to help students find their way in further education. The website how2get2.co.uk has been launched by Nexus as part of its commitment to help young people in Tyne and Wear get access to education. The site is stuffed full of details on what’s the best ticket to buy and what bus or Metro to catch to colleges and sixth form centres.
There are full details of buses you can catch to all Tyne and Wear's main further education college campuses in a simple-to-follow format.
The site has been created thanks to funding from Tyne and Wear’s five local education authorities and further education colleges.
Bernard Garner, Director General of Nexus, said: "This website aims to tell you ‘how2get2’ wherever you need to go if you're aged 16 to 19 and in further education. It'll also help you choose the best ticket to buy - so saving you time and money.
"But you can use this site for much more than just getting to school and college - it'll be useful for when you're meeting your mates, or travelling to a part-time job."

alongside cheaper season tickets for students, concessionary fares for school pupils and a scholars’ bus network to help families reach the schools of their choice." The website is produced by Nexus in partnership with the five Local Authorities in Tyne and Wear.
