How will employees be recruited?

TT2 Ltd has been awarded the concession to operate and maintain the Tyne Tunnels for the next thirty years, and to deliver the New Tyne Crossing project. TT2 has appointed Bouygues Travaux Publics to design and build the new crossing, who in turn will sub-contract most aspects of the work involved in designing and building the new vehicle tunnel.

Wherever possible sub-contracts will be awarded to local suppliers. If sub-contractors require additional staff in order to carry out their duties on the project, they will seek local employees where appropriate skills and experience exist.

You should be aware that much of the work involved in designing and building the New Tyne Crossing is of a highly specialised nature. There will, however, be a number of less specialised roles on the project.

Rather than applying for each job as it occurs, we are asking candidates to complete a registration form, which gives us all the information about you that we need, and we will be analysing each form received to identify potential candidates for forthcoming roles.

Your application will be considered by the project team and if your skills and experience appear to match any vacancies you will be contacted directly. If no apparent job opportunities match your skills at the time of receipt, we will keep your records on our database and as each new opportunity arises you will be reconsidered.

We hope this information is of help, and we wish you the best of luck with your recruitment search.
