Residents to receive New Tyne Crossing update
A public meeting has been arranged to update residents of East Howdon, North Tyneside on plans to build the New Tyne Crossing.
The meeting will take place at the Community Centre, East Howdon at 5.45pm on Wednesday 22 November.
North Tyneside councillor and Tyne and Wear Passenger Transport Authority (PTA) vice chair Mrs Muriel Green will be in attendance along with representatives of consultants Arup who are leading the consortium advising the PTA.
Cllr Mrs Green said: "The PTA is currently looking at the options resulting from the project review by the consortium and wants to consult as widely as possible with the communities who will be most affected by the construction and operation of the new tunnel before making a decision."
