The Inquiry reconvened at 10.00am when Dr Richardson representing the Friends of the Earth presented his evidence in objection to the New Tyne Crossing. Dr Richardson was cross-examined by Mr Sauvain for the TWPTA and thereafter responded to questions put to him by the Inspector. The Inquiry adjourned for lunch at 13.15.

The Inquiry reconvened at 14.15 when Mr Deere-Jones also representing the Friends of the Earth presented his evidence in objection to the proposals. He was cross-examined by Mr Sauvain for the TWPTA. The Inquiry adjourned at 16.30.

The Inquiry will reconvene at 10.00am on Friday 28 March 2003 when Mr Sauvain will continue his cross-examination of Mr Deere-Jones.
