PROCEEDINGS AT INQUIRY ON TUESDAY, 15 APRIL 2003

The Inquiry opened at 10.00 am. The Inspector informed the Inquiry that Amec - who had been scheduled to appear today - had written explaining that they did not now consider it necessary to appear as a result of the continuing dialogue between them and the TWPTA.
The Inspector then followed with a number of questions which he would wish the TWPTA to address before the Inquiry closes. It was agreed with all present that the closing addresses would commence at 9.00 am on Thursday, 17 April 2003.
The Inquiry was then adjourned until 4.00 pm to allow time for the TWPTA to address questions and clarifications requested by the Inspector.

The Inquiry recommenced at 4.10 pm. Mr Sauvain notified the Inspector that Northumbrian Water Limited had now withdrawn their objection and so would not be appearing at Inquiry tomorrow. Following this Mr Sauvain addressed a number of issues that had been raised by the Inspector during the morning session. The Inquiry was adjourned at 5.05 pm.
The Inquiry will reconvene at 11.00 am tomorrow when the Inspector will consider matters relating to Planning Direction and the Draft Order.
