PROCEEDINGS AT INQUIRY ON WEDNESDAY, 12 MARCH 2003
Day 6
AM
The Inquiry reconvened at 10.00am when the Inspector heard the evidence of Mr J Lofthouse on Waste Spoil Management. There followed a series of questions first to Mr Lofthouse from the Inspector, Tim Sander of Friends of the Earth and Mr Murphy of NECTAR. Following these questions the Inquiry broke for lunch and began again at 1.30pm.
PM
During the afternoon session, evidence on Environmental Issues was presented by Dr P Johnson. Questions were then put to Mr Johnson by the Inspector, Mr Murphy of NECTAR, Mr Winch of Tyne Crossing Alliance and John Turvey of Tyne Bykes.
Because of personal reasons, Mr Manning was unavailable to present his evidence on Noise Vibration. Because of this, the Inspector allowed written questions to be put on Mr Manning’s evidence to which responses will be issued by Mr Manning during the course of the Inquiry. Other than Mr Manning’s evidence, the TWPTA has completed presenting its case to the Inquiry. The Inquiry will reconvene on Wednesday 19 March 2003 at 10.00am when the Objectors and Supporters of the evidence will begin to present their evidence to the Inquiry.
